BERGARDA YAMAHA. . . It was not until the beginning of December, 1999 before
I knew the name of the bike for the first time in my life by one of my
"bike masters" in a drive-in restaurant near Tuskuba circuit.
I had already run in circuit courses with my KAT, had run a Sunday race once by then, but the simple problem is that it costs me a lot of money to carry on with a bike like KAT. Of course, I'm not a professional race rider. Just one of the amateur riders who would like to enjoy races for amateurs with the least modifications to the bike, and maybe every once in three or four months. . . that's me, yes.
Also, this guy, my "bike master", in fact gave me such a strong advice that I should try mono-cylinder-bike races for amateurs from the variety of reasons such as. . . it saves me more as it has only one piston while KAT has four, or it requires more and more effort to maneuver it then I will be able to ride my KAT better in the end of the day, etc, etc . . .
So I had somehow set my mind to go for SZR immediately after we broke up. Then I purchased one of the ad magazines for second bikes, looked up one, rang up the shop, walked in, then found myself signing up the purchase document a few hours later. It was just almost the last day of 1999 for the bike shop.
Now, I already had run a race at Tsukuba circuit which is located at Ibaragi pref. in Japan, nearly two hours drive from my home if in early hours on weekends. I hope I can add some reports of my race events here from time to time . . .
2005.4.3 End of story...Finally I decided to sell my SZR out. It's because of my work, too busy to spare time on two big motorcycles, and many other small reasons. Think I was luckly that a good buyer turned out immediately after I announced the sales on one of the web sites that I knew. He said to me he will use it for the same race that I had challenged, and I realized he's very good. It would be exciting to see my bike racing in the top group soon. Anyways this is the end of the story about my BELGARDA, 4SU. God bless it!
